We are going to the heart of the Carpathian mountains to visit modern skiing resort Bukovel. Bukovel skiing resort resort features 68 kilometers total of slopes, with 16 modern ski lifts and the latest achievements in snow-making and snow-grooming machinery.

The resort offers winter activities of different kinds, not only skiing or snowboarding. One can choose among driving a snowmobile, skating, snow tubing, or enjoying views from the cable way and relaxing in the SPA. Even rope jumping and dogsled trips are available for trying.

The tour starts in Ivano-Frankivsk, tourists get there by train by themselves. We provide help with buying train tickets if needed. Other transportation option is to join our bus tours from Kyiv.

Every day of the tour you can spend at Bukovel or go for a day trip with one of additional optional excursions.

Itinerary

The day before tour starts. Group meeting at Kyiv railway station

18:30 We meet at Kyiv railway station.

19:06 Departure of the train № 43 Kyiv-Ivano-Frankivsk.

You can choose to join a group in Ivano-Frankivsk also.

Day 1. Arrival and check-in in the hotel, day at Bukovel

05:43 Arrival to Ivano-Frankivsk. Transfer to our accomodation place in Yasinya village, it will be either private cottages or a hotel. Breakfast. Going to the skiing resort, it takes 30 minutes to get from the hotel to Bukovel.

We will help you to rent skiing or snowboarding equipment with a discount.

If you are a first-timer in mountain skiing, it’s safer for you to take couple of lessons at skiing school. Ask the group administrator to order.

Our bus will park at the parking area, closest to the lifts and trails. The bus will be easy to access during the day, so you can use it to store your stuff, to change clothes or to snack inside.

16:45 The group is to gather at the parking area.

17:00 We are going from Bukovel to accomodation place. Dinner and free time. You can order a sauna for additional price if you like.

Day 2. Day at Bukovel or one of the additional excursion

Fresh and rested, we’ll have breakfast and go to Bukovel.

You can also stay at the hotel and order bathing in a hot “chan” with herbs, traditional local kind of SPA. Another option is to choose one of the addition excursions.

16:45 The group is to gather at the parking area.

17:00 We are going from Bukovel to accomodation place. Dinner and free time. You can order a sauna for additional price if you like.

Day 3. Day at Bukovel or one of the additional excursion. Departure from Ivano-Frankivsk railway station in evening

We’ll have breakfast and go to the skiing resort Bukovel.

You can also stay at the hotel and order bathing in a hot “chan”, traditional local kind of sauna. Another option is to choose one of the addition excursions.

16:15 The group is to gather at the parking area.

16:30 We are going from Bukovel to accomodation place. Now it’s time to give back rented skiing equipment. Dinner, checking-out and departure to Ivano-Frankivsk.

Additional program and excursions

Hot bathing in “chan”

Duration: 2 hours

Price for a chan: around 500 grn.

Capacity: 4 persons

Carpathian chan - a cast-iron font-like pot placed in the open air on a river bank so that you may admire a breathtaking panorama of the mountains. It is filled with spring water and flavored with Carpathian herbs, aroma oils and heated with logs. Such baths help you retrieve lost mobility, relieve pain in joints, cure different musculoskeletal diseases, heal old wounds.

How bathing in chan is taking place? Do you know ancient tales about bathing in boiling water that makes old people young again? And when one runs out of strength he should just take a bath and his power is renovated.

Carpathian chans are almost like those baths from tales. Surely, water in these cast-iron pots is not boiling. It’s temperature is around 40-45 degrees Celsius. But a fire under the pot is absolutely real.

Excursion “Carpathian waterfalls”

Duration: 6 hours

Price for a chan: 420 grn.

Excursion “Winter fairytale”

Itinerary: Saint Nicolas residence — The upside-down house — Dovbush rocks.

Excursion “Magic of the Carpathians”

Duration: 6 hours

Price for a chan: 450 grn. + entrance tickets to the museums

Itinerary: Viaducts in Vorohta — Verhovyna: Musium of folk musical instruments, Magic museum, Museum of ethnic household items.

Excursions take place on: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays.
